Last week was a superb week for British snowsports athletes.<\/p>\n

X Games Success<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the GB Park and Pipe team, there were three podiums at the X Games and at the Slopestyle World Cup.<\/p>\n

A \u2018veteran\u2019 athlete at the ripe old age of 25, James \u2018Woodsy\u2019 Woods fulfilled a dream by claiming Gold in the X Games Big Air in Aspen<\/a>.\u00a0 He also narrowly missing a double podium by finishing in 4th<\/sup>\u00a0place in the Slopestyle.<\/p>\n

The X Games is pretty much the biggest and most famous freestyle snowsports event in the world, and probably only second in prestige to the Winter Olympics. After claiming a bronze in 2013, Woodsy has been looking to go that one step further for the last four years.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Another podium for Ormerod<\/strong><\/p>\n

There was a second X Games podium as Katie Ormerod won a Bronze medal in the Snowboard Slopestyle. Ormerod is having a great season with three other podiums achieved already<\/a>. Like Woodsy she was close to a double podium with a 5th place in the Big Air on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Ormerod said after her medal:\u00a0“I’m super happy to get my 1st X Games medal\u2026especially in the most high profile event of the season in such a tough field of riders.”<\/p>\n

Nicholls takes silver in Slopestyle World Cup<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jamie Nicholls started off the GB Park and Pipe medal haul by taking second in the Snowboard Slopestyle World Cup in Seiser Alm, Italy.<\/p>\n

Nicholls qualified third in his heat, but stepped it up in the final. This was his first podium of this season, which he can add to win last season in the Czech Republic.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a tough couple of weeks with an injury. I can\u2019t wait for the next few weeks,\u201d<\/em> said Nicholls.<\/p>\n

The GB Park and Pipe team have now moved on to Mammoth, USA for the Halfpipe and Slopestyle World Cup this weekend.<\/p>\n

Podium for British Telemark<\/strong><\/p>\n

There has been even more success for the British Telemark team, with Jasmin Taylor claiming another podium, taking third place at the Telemark World Cup in Krvavec, Slovenia in the Parallel Sprint.<\/p>\n

Dave Ryding continues great run<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dave Ryding raced last night in his first ever Parallel Slalom in Stockholm, Sweden and finished fourth.<\/p>\n

Following his historic second place finish in Kitzbuhel<\/a> and 10th<\/sup>\u00a0place at Schladming<\/a>, he has now moved up to 5th<\/sup> in the overall rankings. His next race will be at the World Championships in St Moritz<\/p>\n
