The pistes might still be covered with snow, but next week, Val d\u2019Isere<\/a> hosts the 5th<\/sup> Winter Golf Cup<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This event is not just about sport, but the social side as well, so it appeals to both professionals and keen amateurs.<\/p>\n

Amateurs, celebrities and professionals<\/strong><\/p>\n

There\u2019s a chance to meet Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts and the president of the 2018 Ryder Cup, Pascal Grizot. Don\u2019t miss as well the France v. United Kingdom head-to-head match.<\/p>\n

Other sporting celebrities taking part include rugby player Thomas Castaign\u00e8de and local snowboard champion\u00a0Mathieu Bozzetto.<\/p>\n

Open to everyone<\/strong><\/p>\n

The course in the Manchet Valley is open to anyone interested in playing golf on snow \u2013 including beginners \u2013 on the competition days of March 23 and 24.\u00a0 It\u2019s just \u20ac40 pp to play, and that includes breakfast as well.<\/p>\n

The France\u2013United Kingdom Challenge
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The second edition of this special event is sponsored by the Ryder Cup and BMW. Teams from both countries compete against each other on custom-built \u2018street golf\u2019 course in the centre of the Val d\u2019Isere<\/a>. \u00a0That\u2019s followed by a match play competition over nine holes in the Manchet Valley.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019d like to represent your country than the cost is \u20ac120 per player including entry, lunch and some special gifts.<\/p>\n

The BMW Val d\u2019Isere Winter Golf Cup<\/strong><\/p>\n

This both event is open to anyone and will see a maximum of 25 amateur teams take part. The format is two rounds, with the best ball scoring and played on the magnificent Manchet Valley nine-hole course.<\/p>\n

Taking part will be some of the best golfers on the European tour: Frenchman and 4-time winner\u00a0Rapha\u00ebl Jacquelin; Gr\u00e9gory Havret, runner-up in the 2010 US Open; up and coming youngster Romain Langasque;\u00a0French no.2 Alexander Levy; plus Ryder Cup player Nicolas Colsaerts.<\/p>\n

The cost is \u20ac1600 per team of two players, including two rounds, two lunches, two dinners, and gifts.<\/p>\n
