In fact, so convincing was Les Arcs\u2019 press release that they would be opening for summer, that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.j2ski.com\/ski-chat-forum\/posts\/list\/0\/18153\/les-arcs-announces-return-summer-skiing-2018.page\">some websites even fell for it<\/a>\u2026!<\/p>\n<p>But this is no April Fool. Even though the winter season will formally end next Tuesday on the 1 May 2018,\u00a0Val d&#8217;Is\u00e8re will open again on for skiing on Sunday 03 June 2018 \u2013 just 33 days later.<\/p>\n<p><strong>First time in 82 years that &#8216;normal&#8217; pistes will be open<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Val d&#8217;Is\u00e8re does normally open the Pissaillas glacier for skiing in June, but this year will mark the first time in the 82-year history of the resort that that some of the regular pistes, located only just above the resort, will re-open for summer.<\/p>\n<p>The snowfall in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chaletline.co.uk\/val-d-isere\">Val d&#8217;Is\u00e8re<\/a> has been exceptional this winter, with a 9m of snowfall recorded.
