First ever show was in 1973<\/strong><\/p>\n The first ever London Ski Show was held in 1973 with only a handful of exhibitors. This year visitors can expect a spectacular Alpine Festival, filled with apr\u00e8s themed street food, bar areas, live music, comedy, all the latest ski gear and a chance to find out more about the world\u2019s best ski resorts.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Festival is filled to the brim with new and inspiring content that should appeal to everyone!\u201d said Samantha Pearce, Head of Marketing for the event.<\/p>\n Great activities for half-term week<\/strong><\/p>\n The Festival is taking part during half term week and new attractions that will appeal to children including dog sledding<\/a> and ice skating.<\/p>\n Brought to you by France Montagnes, children will be able to experience driving your own sled with a team of friendly dogs on the slopes of Battersea Park (on wheels, unless there’s an unusual amount of autumn snowfall!)<\/p>\n There are plenty of other games and activities for kids including an Arts & Crafts Zone, face painting, and a line-up of children\u2019s entertainers.<\/p>\n Try the Snow+Rock Climbing Wall<\/strong><\/p>\n The only one of its kind in the UK and all new for 2018, the Snow+Rock Climbing Wall<\/a>\u00a0will offer interactive climbing fun for all the family.<\/p>\n You will be able to race against each other in a host of challenges and competitions, letting the lights guide the way as the wall responds to your actions.<\/p>\n The Snow+Rock climbing wall is included in the price of your ticket and works on a first come first serve basis.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.chaletline.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/DogSledding.jpg\")
