{"id":1567,"date":"2019-05-17T10:54:50","date_gmt":"2019-05-17T10:54:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.chaletline.co.uk\/blog\/?p=1567"},"modified":"2019-05-17T10:54:51","modified_gmt":"2019-05-17T10:54:51","slug":"europes-longest-artificial-ski-slope-opens-in-kopaonik-serbia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chaletline.co.uk\/blog\/2019\/05\/europes-longest-artificial-ski-slope-opens-in-kopaonik-serbia\/","title":{"rendered":"Europe\u2019s longest artificial ski slope opens in Kopaonik, Serbia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Europe\u2019s longest artificial ski slope opened last summer in the Serbian resort of Kopaonik \u2013 the biggest ski resort in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In winter, Kopaonik has 55km of \u2018natural\u2019 slopes, which lie between 1650m and 2017m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Longest artificial slope in Europe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At 800m long and with a vertical drop of 116m, it\nimmediately becomes the largest of its kind in Europe. Previously the\nMidlothian slope in Edinburgh held that record, but was only 400m long. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The architects behind the project are the Italian artificial\nsnow slope company Neveplast. Neveplast NP30 is designed to offer \u2018optimal lateral grip and a low friction coefficient\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kopaonik is clearly different, of course.
