Zell am See-Kaprun has spent this\nsummer investing \u20ac81.5 million in a new lift to be known as the \u2018K-onnection\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new lift will open on 30\u00a0November and will complete the link between Kaprun<\/a> and the Kitzsteinhorn\u2019s glacier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new six-stage gondola will travel 12km, rising a mighty 2158m from the base station at 768m to 2926m at its peak. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first tri-cable gondola in Salzburgerland<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u2018K-onnection\u2019 will be the first tri-cable gondola in Salzburgerland, Austria and will feature the world\u2019s first 360\u00b0 glass-sided ATRIA cabins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each cabin has room for 32 passengers. The journey from Maiskogel to Langwied (1975m) will take 9 minutes. The Kitzsteinhorn offers reliable snow from October into spring.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
