The world\u2019s largest ski area, Les 3 Vall\u00e9es<\/a>, is always innovating to provide the best possible experience for skiers and snowboarders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Environmentally friendly lifts<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the more recent developments is that all new ski lifts will be equipped with Direct Drive motors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le Praz, Ariondaz and Grangettes gondola lifts have already been fitted with these environmentally friendly motors. This simple change will reduce electricity consumption by 15%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ESF Ecowear in Courchevel 1850<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In a first for a ski school, ESF Courchevel 1850<\/a> ski instructors will be wearing a new collection designed in collaboration with Cepovett, the leading designer of professional clothing in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working together with the textile weaver Chamatex, the eco-designed cloth was created and manufactured using materials from the European recycled polyester sector. The fabric was woven, dyed and finished in the Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes region. The result is a technical and ethical uniform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The back of the jacket has the slogan #PleaseRecycle in a further attempt to educate holidaymakers about nature preservation and keeping the mountains clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eco Wax in Courchevel Moriond<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Slightly further down the valley, instructors from ESF Courchevel 1650<\/a> have partnered with the environmentally friendly and ecological Vola ski wax<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The e-wax product is made from vegetable and animal oils.The ink used and even the packaging are completely biodegradable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Electric Driving in Val Thorens<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the other side of Les 3 Vall\u00e9es in Val Thorens<\/a>, the famous Alain Prost ice driving circuit in the resort will become the first electric-only ice driving circuit in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the season, holidaymakers will be able to test four Andros Trophy electric cars with 2WD on the ice. The ice driving circuit will be open from 07 December 2020 to 05 April 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
