The remodelling of the red Aigle run from the summit of Nyon at 2019m down to Nyon plateau at 1413m began last year and will be completed for winter 2020\/2021. The run will be three times wider with 2km of skiing on offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New PV panels<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Electricity is always the biggest energy spend in a ski resort. The lift company SERMA is focussing on  renewable energy, particularly solar. An array of 41m\u00b2 of photovoltaic panels are currently being installed on the Proclou chairlift. They are forecast to produce 9000 kWh per year and power the entire lift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
