{"id":1948,"date":"2021-09-08T11:29:32","date_gmt":"2021-09-08T11:29:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.chaletline.co.uk\/blog\/?p=1948"},"modified":"2021-09-08T11:35:54","modified_gmt":"2021-09-08T11:35:54","slug":"new-orelle-gondolas-create-super-fast-link-with-val-thorens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chaletline.co.uk\/blog\/2021\/09\/new-orelle-gondolas-create-super-fast-link-with-val-thorens\/","title":{"rendered":"New Orelle gondolas create super-fast link with Val Thorens"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The old \u20183 Vall\u00e9es Express\u2019 gondola connecting the French ski resort of Orelle in the Maurienne Valley with Val Thorens has been replaced and upgraded for this winter season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new \u2018Orelle\u2019 gondola links with the \u2018Orelle-Caron\u2019 to connect the resort with the top of Cime Caron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new lifts were made possible due to investment from the R\u00e9gion Auvergne Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes and creates a direct link between Orelle and Val Thorens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will be accessible to both skiers or pedestrians enabling them to visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chaletline.co.uk\/val-thorens\">Val Thorens<\/a> without using either slopes or roads. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once at the 3195m peak, pedestrians can then take the Cime Caron cable car to descend to the centre of Val Thorens.
