Work will start later this year with plans for a new gondola to open in Serre Chevalier<\/a> in December 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To make it easier for skiers to circulate between the different resorts of Villeneuve, Chantemerle and Mon\u00eatier, the Pontillas and Fr\u00e9jus gondolas will be replaced by a more modern high-performance gondola.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Single gondola to replace two older ones<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The two older, high energy-consumption lifts will be removed to make room for a new-generation more ecological lift. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new \u2018Pontillas\u2019 gondola will be a 10-seater and have the capacity to carry 2800 skiers per hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The base station will include a storage zone for cabins, offices, a sales and information desk as well as 450 sqm of commercial properties. Shuttle buses will serve the new lift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
