This winter Val Thorens has teamed up with Salomon to create a unique new set of skis to celebrate the resort\u2019s 50th anniversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new design will be showcased by resort employees, who will be using them throughout the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, just 200 pairs will be available to buy from the Tourist Office and a limited number of the resort\u2019s ski shops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Salomon \/ Val Thorens Collaboration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Salomon\u2019s technical and creative teams worked closely to come up with this special anniversary all mountain ski.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axelle Gacon from Val Thorens<\/a> started the process by contacting Quentin Boutry, Salomon\u2019s Alpine Ski Product Manager and their graphic designer, Cyril Vial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe three of us worked out the technical requirements, understanding exactly what we were capable of creating together.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey sent me the files so that I could incorporate the design directly onto them – based on the Val Thorens 50th anniversary logo that I had already created with the marketing team. It encompasses an image that stands out, creates an impact, and remains understated.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The left and right skis have a different top sheet \u2013 you can only see the whole image when you put both skis on, side by side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Salomon Stance 84 ski comes in three lengths: 161 \/ 169 \/ 177 cm and costs \u20ac600 for the skis and \u20ac240 for the bindings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
