The Jandi 3S gondola is a new \u20ac135 million lift that will open in November 2024 in Les 2 Alpes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will cut the journey time down from 40 minutes to just 17 minutes to get to the glacier at 3200m and will double uplift capacity to 3000 skiers per hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3S technology<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 3S cable technology uses three cables, meaning the lift will be much more stable than other lifts and can run even in high winds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New base, mid and top stations are being built, with seven pylons – instead of 17 that the old lift used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New, larger cabins<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new cabins have 32 spaces in each, with 360-degree views, accessible to hikers, mountain bikers and people in wheelchairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work started on this project in 2022. Over 20 local businesses and 400 people have been working on the project. The lift will open in November 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
