The Red Bull 400 returns to Courchevel next month on 13 July for the fifth time. Competitors have to climb the Olympic ski jump in Courchevel Le Praz – a short-but-savage sprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

400 vertical metres at 36<\/strong>\u00b0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Athletes have to conquer 400 vertical meters on a brutal 36\u00b0 incline \u2013 and at altitude, with the start at 1300m. It\u2019s a gut-punching, leg-burning, breath-stealing climb that\u2019s not for the faint of heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unbelievably, the fastest runners will take around 200 seconds (the course record is 3m21s) to complete the climb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s quite an event to take part in or to spectate and is accompanied by live entertainment, with a high-energy after-party and fireworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
