{"id":2618,"date":"2025-07-09T08:16:48","date_gmt":"2025-07-09T08:16:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chaletline.co.uk\/blog\/?p=2618"},"modified":"2025-07-09T08:16:49","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T08:16:49","slug":"new-chenus-gondola-in-courchevel-opens-december-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chaletline.co.uk\/blog\/2025\/07\/new-chenus-gondola-in-courchevel-opens-december-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"New Chenus Gondola in Courchevel opens December 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After 55 years, the iconic Chenus gondola in Courchevel 1850 is being upgraded for winter 2025\/26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to open in December 2025, the new \u20ac20 million lift will double its uplift capacity and also focus on sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Uplift capacity will double<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Developed by POMA, the improved gondola will feature 10-seater EVO 2 cabins, increasing the hourly capacity from 1200 to 2400 skiers and snowboarders per hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The base station is being relocated at the Croisette area on the <a href=\"https:\/\/chaletline.co.uk\/courchevel-1850\">Courchevel 1850<\/a> snow front to ease congestion, especially around the busy Verdons area, and improve skier traffic flow.
