What a great few weeks that was for Team GB…!<\/p>\n

The Chaletline team<\/a> almost lost our voices cheering our team on. \u00a0The Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics turned out to be the most successful ever for British skiers and snowboarders.<\/p>\n

Six in the Top 10 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The final total was an Olympic Bronze medal for Jenny Jones in Ladies Snowboard Slopestyle, six top ten finishes, another five top 20 finishes and three more who finished in the top 30.<\/p>\n

Freestyle paves the way<\/strong><\/p>\n

The introduction of Slopestyle was crucial to this success, with 5th for James Woods \u00a0and 7th for Katie Summerhayes. \u00a0Snowboard Cross athlete Zoe Gillings finished 9th and Alpine skiers Chemmy Alcott and Dave Ryding both finished with\u00a0top 20 positions.<\/p>\n

Andrew Musgrave also became the first ever British Cross Country skier to finish in the top 30 at an Olympic Games.<\/p>\n

On to PyeonChang…<\/strong><\/p>\n

The freestyle disciplines will gain extra funding due to these great results so hopefully Team GB can build to and come the next Games, in South Korea in 2018, we will have even more athletes challenging for medals.<\/span><\/p>\n
