This winter sees the opening of the latest – and fifth – Folie Douce in St Gervais Meg\u00e8ve.<\/p>\n

Open air clubbing at altitude<\/strong><\/p>\n

Regular skiers to France will probably have come across one of the existing Folie Douce venues, which style themselves as delivering ‘open air clubbing at altitude’.<\/p>\n

Fine dining\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s more than just clubbing though, as each venue also features an excellent La Fruiti\u00e8re<\/em>\u00a0restaurant (no standing on the tables required here), as well as a good value self-serve bistro.<\/p>\n

Four existing venues<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s this combination that has seen the franchise expand from its original location in Val d’Isere<\/a> to Val Thorens, and then in the last three years, Meribel<\/a> (2012), Alpe d’Huez (2013) and now St Gervais Meg\u00e8ve.<\/p>\n

Meg\u00e8ve does not seem like an obvious resort for this type of development. \u00a0However the owners are targetting high net-worth individuals based in Geneva, who can fly direct to the resort’s helipad.<\/p>\n

No doubt it will also attract a younger clientele, although it remains to be seen if the topless table-dancing features in\u00a0Meg\u00e8ve as it does in Val Thorens<\/a> and Val d’Isere.<\/p>\n

Work at the Folie Douce<\/strong><\/p>\n
