This winter the Vanoise Express cable car – which links Les Arcs<\/a> and La Plagne<\/a> in the Paradiski <\/a>ski area is going to become a restaurant…for one night only!<\/p>\n

Biggest cable car in the world<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a capacity of 200 across two cabins on two levels, the Vanoise Express has the biggest cable car in the world since it opened in 2004.<\/p>\n

It takes only 3 minutes 50 seconds to travel the 1824m from Plan Peisey to Montchavin.<\/p>\n

One-off chance to dine on board<\/strong><\/p>\n

On February 12, the lift will be closed for two hours, while 40 diners enjoy a gourmet meal suspended 380m above the ground!<\/p>\n

The two cabins will be redecorated for the occasion, including with chandeliers. \u00a0The theme of the meal will be ‘Revisited Mountain Cuisine’ (possibly something lost in translation there – as that sounds like re-heated tartiflette), prepared by a famous chef.<\/p>\n
