{"id":560,"date":"2014-12-05T14:46:41","date_gmt":"2014-12-05T14:46:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chaletline.co.uk\/blog\/?p=560"},"modified":"2014-12-05T14:48:21","modified_gmt":"2014-12-05T14:48:21","slug":"whistler-voted-no-1-ski-resort-in-north-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chaletline.co.uk\/blog\/2014\/12\/whistler-voted-no-1-ski-resort-in-north-america\/","title":{"rendered":"Whistler voted no.1 Ski Resort in North America"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 27<sup>th<\/sup> annual <em>SKI Magazine<\/em> Reader\u2019s Poll has named <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chaletline.co.uk\/whistler\">Whistler Blackcomb<\/a> the number 1 ski resort in North America.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chaletline.co.uk\/images\/resorts\/whistler%20main_maxi_x685y321.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"586\" height=\"294\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Top 50 Resorts in North America<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A survey by readers saw 41,000 resort rankings submitted by <em>SKI<\/em> Magazine readers. \u00a0Rankings were then calculated to find the top 50 North American ski resorts in a variety of categories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whistler top in multiple categories<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As well as\u00a0being voted No. 1 in overall ranking, Whistler also received top marks in the terrain variety, off-hill activity and apr\u00e8s categories. \u00a0The resort scored well in other categories, including second place in the lifts, lodging, and dining categories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8216;Every skier should have Whistler on a bucket list&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Andy Bigford, SKI&#8217;s publisher. &#8220;Our readers are smart, savvy and well-traveled.
