The ski area of Alpe d’Huez<\/a> is made up of five different resorts – Auris en Oisans, Alpe d’Huez, Oz en Oisans, Vaujany and Villard Reculas.<\/p>\n

New Beginners Lift Pass<\/strong><\/p>\n

All have had plenty of updates and changes for the forthcoming season, of which one of the most interesting for new skiers is the introduction of the beginners lift pass.<\/p>\n

This will save beginners cash but still allowing access to a range of slopes. \u00a0This pass is available in the villages of Villard Reculas, Auris en Oisans and Alpe d’Huez.<\/p>\n

The entry level lift pass will cost just \u20ac15 per day in Auris and provides access to the two magic carpets Bauchet and Bambins as well as the Peigut drag lift.<\/p>\n

The Alpe d’Huez<\/a> beginner pass – the Premiere Glisse ‘ will cost \u20ac22 per day and gives access to the ski lifts in the beginners area and to the Sures chair lift as well as Foret and Col.<\/p>\n

Sarenne goes all the way<\/strong><\/p>\n

New snow cannons and improvements on the black Sarenne run last year meant that it was possible to ski on it through to mid-April last season.<\/p>\n

This winter, thirty more snow cannons and an extended 4.5km piste to Alp Auris means the lift company are planning for the run to be open to 24 April 2016.<\/p>\n

Early risers will be able to open the Sarenne for the day, skiing with the ski rescue patrollers. \u00a0Places are limited, but provided free of charge with a valid ski pass. To reserve a place, visit www.sataski.com<\/p>\n

Ski the Sarenne at night<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another exciting development for next season is chance to try out night skiing…on the Sarenne.<\/p>\n

Skiers will get to take the last cable car up to the top of Pic Blanc at 3300m and watch the sun set over the Grandes Rousses before skiing down in the company of pisteurs.<\/p>\n

The run down is followed by dinner at the Auberge de la Combe Haute<\/a> mountain restaurant. The cost is \u20ac75 per person and must be booked in advance.<\/p>\n
