The French Alps<\/a> have seen some great snowfall this week and conditions are close to perfect as we move towards the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Most ski resorts in France are open until the end of April \u2013 with some like Val d\u2019Isere<\/a>, Tignes<\/a> and Val Thorens<\/a> open even later.<\/p>\n

There are some great advantages of \u2018spring skiing\u2019.\u00a0 Perhaps the biggest bonus is that there are some great late deals available.<\/p>\n

However, that\u2019s not all.\u00a0 Often the slopes are emptier, sunnier and warmer \u2013 making it a great time to travel with young children<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Events in April 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

The days are also longer as winter fades into the distance. With that comes some extra events to liven up those last weeks of the season.\u00a0Here are some of the best you can look forward to in April 2016.<\/p>\n

Les Arcs: Spring Final (02-23 April)<\/strong><\/p>\n

This popular ski resort<\/a> has a wide choice of activities on offer throughout April. Special options put on by the resort include slacklining, ride\u2019n golf, the waterslide beach party, freestyle shows and concerts on the slopes.<\/p>\n

La Plagne: Subli\u2019cimes (03-16 April)<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the second year of \u2018Subli\u2019cimes\u2019 when six La Plagne locations<\/a>, all over 2000m, are completely transformed completely.\u00a0 Expect a mix of sandy beaches, chill-out zones, a mini Lapland, the adrenaline zone, an art-inspired area and, of course, a Kids\u2019 Zone.
