A recent survey by Chaletline.co.uk<\/a> has shown that 70% of British skiers and snowboarders will not be letting the recent Brexit vote get in the way of their holidays to the snow.<\/p>\n

We asked Facebook users<\/a> if they thought the Brexit vote would make them less likely to ski this winter.<\/p>\n

70% will be skiing regardless<\/strong><\/p>\n

Almost three-quarters said that there would be no immediate impact and that they would be skiing regardless.<\/p>\n

The poll attracted a lot of comments on Facebook<\/a> with many saying it would make no difference to their booking a ski holiday.<\/p>\n

One user even commented that he would \u2018Rather skip a summer holiday than not go skiing\u2019, while another said that \u2018Nothing will stop me going skiing short of the grim reaper!\u2019<\/p>\n

Following the Brexit vote, there has been plenty of concern that this will be the end of the nascent recovery that the ski industry has seen in the last couple of seasons.<\/p>\n

Not everyone was so positive however. Three in ten of all respondents did say that the Brexit result would make them less likely to take a ski holiday this winter.<\/p>\n

Comments from Facebook users included the concern that \u2018with the pound dropping, everything will increase in price\u2019.<\/p>\n

However a number of people pointed out that Switzerland<\/a>, Norway, Canada and the USA<\/a> are already non-EU ski destinations.<\/p>\n

The Chaletline.co.uk survey was conducted from 07-13 July with 277 Facebook users voting in the poll.<\/p>\n
