The Ice Q – an amazing new restaurant in Solden, Austria – has caught our eye.
The restaurant opens next month on the Gaislachkogl – the main ski mountain in the resort.
Using local materials and some stunning architectural skills , this stunning new building looks like the place to have lunch in the Alps this winter.
At 3048m above sea level, construction of the new Ice-Q was started in the summer of 2013. The restaurant has 94 seats inside and 34 seats outside on the terrace.
The entire building uses glass to offer amazing views and gives the impression it could be transparent, yet still fits perfectly into its natural surroundings.
Solden has already opened for this season, having hosted the first ski Alpine World Cup race of the season at the end of October.
