Never one to sit on their laurels, Vail Resorts have announced plans to invest close to $100 million in new lifts for their portfolio of resorts.
The ski giant owns a large number of North American ski resorts, including Vail, Breckenridge Keystone, Canyons, Heavenly and Kirkwood.
New lift for Beaver Creek
Beaver Creek in Colorado will see the old Centennial Express upgraded to a new six-man lift, increasing the capacity by 35%. The lift is expected to be an unusual mixed lift, with both gondolas and chairs.
Chairlift upgrade in Breckenridge
After the launch of Peak 6 last season, which added to the already extensive Breckenridge ski area, next winter will see a new ‘Super Chair’ upgrade. This will change from a four-man to six-man express.
The Lodge at Vail
Meanwhile in Vail, it’s the accommodation that’s improving. The Lodge at Vail is renovating all of its hotel rooms, as well as the lobby, making it even more impressive than at present.
