Work at the Folie Douce – now also in Megève

This winter sees the opening of the latest – and fifth – Folie Douce in St Gervais Megève.

Open air clubbing at altitude

Regular skiers to France will probably have come across one of the existing Folie Douce venues, which style themselves as delivering ‘open air clubbing at altitude’.

Fine dining 

It’s more than just clubbing though, as each venue also features an excellent La Fruitière restaurant (no standing on the tables required here), as well as a good value self-serve bistro.

Four existing venues

It’s this combination that has seen the franchise expand from its original location in Val d’Isere to Val Thorens, and then in the last three years, Meribel (2012), Alpe d’Huez (2013) and now St Gervais Megève.

Megève does not seem like an obvious resort for this type of development.  However the owners are targetting high net-worth individuals based in Geneva, who can fly direct to the resort’s helipad.

No doubt it will also attract a younger clientele, although it remains to be seen if the topless table-dancing features in Megève as it does in Val Thorens and Val d’Isere.
