If you’re a Chaletline regular, then you’ll know we specialists in Catered Ski Chalets, but believe it or not, there’s many people who think summer in the Alps is even better than winter…!
There’s so much to do…
In most cases, you can’t go skiing, but there’s so much more you can do – and the views are stunning in summer.
Take a look at this video from Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc, Europe’s highest mountain:
The lifts run in summer too!
You don’t have to be a hard-core mountaineer or climber to appreciate the Alps. The lifts run through the summer, and can whisk you up to high altitudes in minutes.
There’s swimming, mountain biking, swimming and golf in Chamonix. Plus the superb toboggan run – this is brilliant fun for kids of all ages!
Tignes offers free activities
In a resort like Tignes, there’s all that and more – with masses going on for families with energetic kids (aren’t they all?!).
It’s all free in Tignes…
Not only can you take part in so many activities, but anyone staying in resort receives a special card entitling them to enjoy them for free.
The lifts (excluding to the glacier) are free, plus there’s archery, air bags, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, pedalos, tennis, trampolining, mini-golf, catamarans, slacklining, swimming pools, a fitness centre and…phew, if you’ve any energy left, much, much more…!
Austria is also a beautiful place to head for the summer. We find many of our guests like Kitzbuhel – a decent sized town with plenty on offer for holidaymakers.
It’s in the mountains that you find peace and quiet, can get close to nature with perfect clean air in your lungs!
