What have the most popular blogs on Chaletline been this year so far? We took a look through the archives and Google Analytics to bring you the articles you’ve read the most:
1. How does a piste basher work?
This article clearly caught everyone’s interest as this attracted more than twice as many views as the next best page. I think in our dreams, we all would like to drive a piste basher!
This was originally posted in May 2014, but it still pulls in lots of views every month. Is it nostalgia for the old days? Or do we just want to know where bubble lifts go when they die?
In April 2014, we ran this feature about the impending opening of the new Aquamotion aqua centre in Courchevel. Still 18 months from opening in December 2015, this page still gets regular visits.
4. Is Skiing or Snowboarding better?
This debate goes on and on. We only published our poll in August, but it’s already our 4th most viewed post this year. Have you voted yet?
5. Will Brexit make you more of less likely to ski this winter?
This topical poll went live in July and conclusively showed that British skiers haven’t been put off a trip to Europe yet…
6. Snowdome planned for Westfield London
Back in 2013 we wrote about a new possible snowdome to be constructed next to the Olympic Park. Not that it’s happened…
This is another new development for Flaine that we wrote about in July 2014. It’s also not happened, although we did suggest 2018 would be the opening date.
8. Five of the Longest Ski Runs in Europe
Earlier this year, we picked out five of the best days out you can have on the mountain in the Alps. Options include the Vallee Blanche in Chamonix and the Sarenne in Alpe d’Huez.
9. €146m of new lifts for La Plagne
Last year we blogged about the significant investment that La Plagne are putting into their lift system.
10. 13 Facts about Les 2 Alpes
Does what it says on the tin: a number of facts about Les 2 Alpes…
