Although the 25th edition of the Megavalanche was cancelled due to the global pandemic, a new replacement event, with fewer riders and a different format is back in Alpe d’Huez this summer.

The new ‘Maxiavalanche de l’Alpe d’Huez’ will take place from 31 July to 02 August 2020
Some of the best riders in Europe will be taking part, including Kilian Bron (Intense Mavic Collective), Damien Oton (Orbea), and Rémy Absalon (Scott SR Suntour), who holds the record for the most ‘Mega’ victories. Brits can look out for Ben Moore (Orange Factory).
E-Maxi by Loisibike
This year will see a new E-Bike category will pit the Italian Giorgio Righi (Olympia Bad School E-Bike Team), winner of MSS 2019, with the talented Karim Amour (BH Racing).
Mega Kids: 7 to 14 years old
The Maxiavalanche is also open to the best of the younger generation who will be racing by age category on the lower part of the adult course, with two runs on Saturday.
