Tour operators are offering maximum reassurance to skiers in these uncertain times with a general relaxation of booking terms and conditions.
Booking with Peace of Mind and Flexibility
At the forefront is a ‘No Quibble Guarantee’ allowing you to swap to an alternative trip or receive a full refund if your operator cannot offer your holiday for a Covid-related reason.
Changes are often free and far easier to make, with holiday balances collected nearer departure rather than the standard 12 weeks in advance.
Special Flexible Offers
We also have one Luxury Chalet Offer providing the right to change your chalet, travel date or even the season you travel, free of charge.
Our Club Med hotels also now include FREE Covid Medical Cover while you are away.
We can confirm the booking terms for any featured property and remember we only offer holidays with 100% financial protection, which means that you’ll never be out of pocket when you book with Chaletline.
Holiday insurers are also busily updating their policies to offer fuller cover for Covid. We can recommend insurance with the best cover should you find your current policy unsatisfactory.
Keeping you Safe in the Mountains
A successful return to the slopes was enjoyed by thousands of lucky skiers this summer in glacier resorts across the Alps. Indeed both Zermatt and Saas Fee are still open for skiers
And in just a few days’ time slopes will re-open at Austria’s Stubai and Solden glaciers, with Tignes in France opening in October.
The summer provided a useful opportunity for ski resorts to trial and implement new measures on and off the slopes.
So, this winter amongst other things, you can expect to see more organised ski lift queues with social distancing, reduced capacity on lifts, smaller ski school classes with staggered starting times and hand sanitizer widely available.
The ‘New Normal’ in Ski Chalets
In chalets and chalet hotels there will be careful but discrete precautions in place ensuring none of that chalet charm and bonhomie is lost.
Staff will have Covid-specific hygiene training, and temperature checks before every shift. Communal areas will be disinfected several times a day, with deep cleans on transfer day.
We are happy to confirm more precise individual Covid protocols and policy for any of the Chalets, Hotels and Apartments featured by Chaletine.
