Is it too early to book your 2021/22 ski holiday?
It might not surprise you to learn that many of the calls we are receiving at Chaletline HQ are asking not about this winter, but about ski holidays for the 2021/22 season.
Will we ski in 2021?
The current news from the Alps is that all the major Alpine nations (apart from Switzerland) are still to open the lifts in their ski resorts.
Although infection rates on the continent are better than in the UK, we don’t realistically expect lifts to start turning until mid-February at the earliest (perhaps earlier in Austria).
However, the next issue is whether Brits will be able to enjoy the slopes, with travel bans and/or quarantine in place to most countries.
March and April look more positive
We are more optimistic about ski holidays in March and April 2020.
We’ll have to see how everything develops, but for the latest news and offers, make sure you follow us on Facebook and Twitter and keep checking our website.
[By the way, if you are interested in all-inclusive ski holidays with Club Med, then they will also include Covid Medical Cover.]
Why wait? Book your 2021/22 ski holiday now…
Maybe we all need something to look forward to, but we are seeing a much higher level of interest in ski holidays for next winter than usual.
Dates that are booking up fast include the peak season weeks of February Half Term, Christmas week and New Year, although there is also plenty of interest in holidays for more than a year ahead…for Easter 2022!
Please bear in mind that next season there will be fewer chalets on offer (as some companies have decided to scale back their chalet programmes), so availability is already limited.
