The French ski resort of Les Gets in Les Portes du Soleil is opening a new detachable chairlift in the Rosta sector this winter.
Opening in December 2025, the new lift will replace the existing four-seater lift with a state-of-the-art 8-seater chairlift, complete with ergonomic chairs and a loading conveyor belt to make boarding smoother and easier.
The upgrade aims to improve skier flow on the slopes while providing a faster and more comfortable ride. Operating at a speed of 6 metres per second, it will carry skiers to the summit in under three minutes.
This project also embraces modern, sustainable technology. Equipped with a Direct Drive motor, the new lift reflects a commitment to environmental responsibility—reducing energy consumption, lowering noise levels, and eliminating the need for hydrocarbons.
