After six years the French ski resort of Les 2 Alpes is reopening its swimming pool and ice rink complex.
Closed since 2019, it is due to open for the 2025/26 winter season next month. The development was complicated after the resort took over the complex, previously run by Les 2 Alpes Loisirs and Compagnie des Alpes.
The renovation cost €5 million and includes:
- A heated outdoor main pool, accessible all year round
- A wellness zone, with jacuzzi and massage jets
- A second heated pool and a fun water play area for children in summer

A Next-Generation Ice Rink
The neighbouring ice rink has also been renovated and is now capable of hosting ice hockey matches and training.
The ice rink will be multi-seasonal, used in winter for ice skating, and in summer for roller use.
However, the biggest innovation lies in its energy system. The ice rink will use an eco-responsible refrigeration system that recovers waste heat (generated by cooling the ice) to warm the pool water.
Accessibility
The entire complex has also been redesigned for people with reduced mobility, with adapted walkways and accessible changing rooms.
