8 Unique Experiences to enjoy in Les 3 Vallées

We all love skiing in Les 3 Vallées, but there’s so much more you can do while on a holiday in the world’s largest ski area.

Here are some great non-ski ideas to try when you’re next on holiday in Méribel, Courchevel, La Tania, Les Menuires or Val Thorens.

Take a ride with the huskies!

In Saint Martin de Belleville, take a moment to meet Dany and his pack of beautiful huskies.

You can join them on sleigh rides into the heart of winter. You can even go out at night with the route lit by torchlight!

Take the luge!

When you’re staying in Les Menuires, choose between the 2.5 mile Roc’N Bob toboggan run with its 22 turns and the 1000 metre thrill that is the luge at La Mine.

Yéti style!

Find the Yeti Park in Méribel-Mottaret at the top of the Combes chairlift for some fun skiing for all the family!

Go Tobogganning!

The Moriond Racing toboggan run in Courchevel-Moriond is a must!

Covering almost two miles and featuring four tunnels, this run starts at the top of the Ariondaz gondola and goes all the way to the foot of the slopes in 1650.

Put down some First tracks!

The restaurant Les Pierres Plates at the top of La Saulire welcomes lucky skiers every Wednesday morning to watch the beautiful sunrise from 2738m altitude.

This magical event is then followed by a hearty breakfast and a run down one of the best pistes in Courchevel.

Drive a piste basher!

Piste bashers – or snow groomers, as most of the world know them – are big, powerful and usually off-limits to the public.

Thanks to Courchevel Adventure you can now enjoy one-hour sessions driving these amazing vehicles.

Fly down a double zip-line!

Start at the top of the Moutière chairlift in Val Thorens for a unique experience flying down this double zip wire.

It takes you side-by-side over almost two kilometres at up to 65 meters above the slopes. Tip: it’s cheaper to fly in the mornings!

Dive beneath the ice!

Have you ever been tempted to try some cold-water swimming? Then why not try it in a mountain lake?

Explore under the ice of the Lac du Lou in Les Menuires and discover a magical world of air bubbles and dancing sunlight.
