New open-air gondola ‘AEROLIVE’ in La Plagne

La Plagne has announced details of a unique open-air gondola taking visitors to the highest point in resort.

Two cable cars nicknamed ‘L’Acrobate’ and ‘La Funambule’ (a tightrope walker), will form the new ‘AÉROLIVE’ experience.

Passengers will be roped in

The cabins have no walls, so passengers will be roped into the cabin on the ride up from Roche de Mio at 2739m to the top station at 3080m.

La Plagne promises “an exceptional unobstructed panoramic view” for the new lift, which was designed by La Plagne and developed by the manufacturer POMA.

Passengers have been advised to ensure their phones and cameras are tied to them with straps too!

From €49 per person

The ride will last 30 minutes and cost €49 per person or per person €269 for a private booking for up to 6 people. It will open for business from Monday 08 July.
