Val Thorens in Les 3 Vallées is upgrading their Les 2 Lacs chairlift to a new gondola.
€16 million investment
The €16 million investment will see the old chairlift replaced by 61 ten-person cabins. With a faster speed of 7 metres per second, it will also increase the uplift capacity to 3500 skiers per hour.
The lift will arrive between the La Bee zipline and the top of the Moutiere chairlift.
Work started on building the new top station earlier this year. It is expected to open in November 2024.
