A long-awaited project at the 4 Vallées ski area in Switzerland will become reality this winter, with a new Télémixté (a combination of chairlifts and gondolas) lift creating a direct connection between the Verbier and La Tzoumaz sectors.
The new lift and piste will make it possible to travel between the two areas without having to take a bus through Verbier, providing a much easier link for skiers exploring the extensive ski area.

Combining chairs and cabins
The new Télémixté combines chairs and cabins, allowing skiers to remain on their skis while travelling between the sectors and making access simpler for non-skiers.
The project has been anticipated by regular users of the ski area for several years, and its opening marks a significant change to the way the two sectors are connected.
It should also make it easier for visitors to rediscover Savoleyres and La Tzoumaz, whether as part of a full day skiing across the 4 Vallées or simply for a quick trip to another part of the mountain.
The first phase of the project opened in December 2025 and the full ‘Esserts – Savoleyres’ section will open this winter.
