The Star Arctic is a modern and stylish hotel with spacious Lappish-style suites and Aurora cabins. A great choice for those looking for an intimate and exclusive feel stay. Located at the top of Kaunispaä fell, away from the light pollution of the village centre and an excellent spot to view the Northern Lights.

The unique aspect of the Star Arctic has to be the rooms. All of the suites are located within their own buildings a short walk from the main reception and restaurant area.  Scenic View Suites are duplex with a large glass window looking out over the main village.  The bedroom area (twin or double) is located at the top of the duplex stairs (fairly steep), and have their own north-facing window.  Scenic View Suites with sauna and kitchenette are also available adding more comfort and space.

You may choose to spend your stay in an Aurora Glass Cabin where you can truly immerse in the nature of Lapland and even admire the Northern Lights from your bed. You will love the colourful light settings controlled by the main remote - but we don't want to spoil all the surprises! 

The hotel has a public sauna, well-equipped gym with large glass windows, modern restaurant and lobby bar, all located in the main building

Enjoy casual dining in the hotel's restaurant, and enjoy beautiful views across the fell. Natural ingredients are sourced from the local area including fish from the Inari region and reindeer from traditional Sami farms plus their full menu, originally crafted by Finnish Michelin Star Chef Jouni Toivanen, combines local Lappish flavours with popular modern cuisines bringing a uniquely elegant and casual choice for all. Enjoy a buffet breakfast and a multi course dinner served to the table.

ROOM DESCRIPTIONS

Bedrooms are located in separate detached buildings a few steps away from the main building. All of the suites have en-suite shower/WC, lounge area, bathrobes and slippers, flat-screen TV, tea/coffee-maker, minibar, mini fridge, safe, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi.

Standard Scenic View Suites, 27m² (A4) with large glass window sleep 2-4 persons and have two floors with either twin beds or one double bed on the upper floor, reached by stair ladder (can be steep), plus double sofa bed on the lower floor. All of the facilities are as mentioned above

Scenic View Suites with Sauna, 36m² (B4) sleep 2-4 people and have private sauna and kitchenette in addition to all of the facilities above. The suite has two floors with either twin beds or one double bed on the upper floor, reached by stair ladder (can be steep), plus double sofa bed on the lower floor

Glass Igloo Cabins (C4) can sleep 2-4 people in either two twin beds or one double bed, over only one floor.

Lift serves all floors.
