Without wishing to appear too evangelical about it, every now and again the stars seem to align and extraordinary opportunities drop into your lap. Through chance or good fortune we became the owner of two incredible piste side building plots in the very centre of Avoriaz and were ecstatic to be able to build four brand new chalets for the 2018/19 season.

Chalet Kobuk offers the perfect space for 8-10 guests, spread over three floors with a cosy mezzanine above. The huge windows and balconies draw the mountain panoramas into every room. Built into the side of the mountain, the open plan living / dining area provides the ultimate place to relax at sunset and ponder the snow cats doing their work on the pistes below. The four en suite bedrooms occupy the lower floors, one with additional bunk beds (charged at half the adult price).

The position is sensational, 1850m altitude, close to the piste, a lift ride from the centre of the resort and Aquariaz water park and a stone’s throw from the piste side bars and ski school meeting point. The location deserved the very best and so we pulled together our favourite interior designers and local tradesmen to do something rather special. We've also now added a stunning sauna & hammam for the ultimate relaxation after a day on the slopes.

You can put your skis on right outside the chalet door and ski away in the mornings, the piste is less than 100m from the chalet, so just a short walk at the and of the day to return for afternoon tea.

For guests staying in Chalet Kobuk we recommend the ski hire service from Avoriaz Sport. The shop is a short walk from the chalet so once you are settled and have sampled the afternoon tea that awaits you on arrival, a member of the  team will take you to the shop. We are confident you’ll get the very best of service from the Avoriaz Sport team.
