The bright and modern Hotel Elva is located in the serene village of Skulestadmo, a picturesque spot on the tranquil shores of Lundarvatnet Lake.
The award winning design hotel features luxurious, minimalist bedrooms which feature large floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing you to enjoy the stunning natural surroundings. The slopes of Voss are a ten minute drive away, and each day you can hop on the hotel shuttle to and from the Voss Gondola.
If you love being surrounded by nature, the Hotel Elva is the place for you. Set on the water's edge, you can enjoy views of the lake and nearby mountains from almost anywhere in the hotel.
The main building, Strandaelva, houses four beautifully designed hotel rooms, a well-equipped conference room, and the Elva restaurant. The remainder of the rooms are all located in detached mini-houses - Myrkdalselva, Raundalselva, Vosso, and Teigdalselva; each contains two or three spacious bedrooms, all designed with large floor-to-ceiling windows. The unique Elva Hotel has been recognised as the Jury Winner in the Archello Awards 2024 Hotel Building of the Year category.
Although the hotel is set back from the main centre of Voss, getting onto the slopes each day couldn't be easier - the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the Voss Gondola at selected times throughout the morning and afternoon.
With seasonal local ingredients from the Voss and Westland region, the menus are based on the availability of local produce and change through the year. Each day you can enjoy a delicious breakfast with a range of sweet and savoury options. When it comes to dinner, you'll enjoy a seasonal three course menu with a choice of starter, main and dessert.
On Saturdays, a seven course tasting menu is available for all guests, which features a range of starters, main courses and dessert, with a menu inspired by delicious dishes from the local region.
Additionally, the Elvatun Café & Bar offers a rustic, cosy atmosphere where you can enjoy a warming cup of coffee made with beans from the Sognefjord Coffee Roastery, and locally produced beverages. Their menu also features freshly baked homemade pastries, perfect for pairing with your coffee, as well as delicious cheese platters and a variety of sandwiches made with locally sourced ingredients.
After an exciting day of Arctic adventures, warm up in the soothing wood-fired sauna, or head to one of the three outdoor hot tubs which offer stunning views of the lake—whether it's the icy landscape of winter or the golden hues of sunset, the setting will leave you feeling relaxed and recharged.
