Hotel Cresta et Duc is just steps away from the charming cobbled streets in Courmayeur’s centre. What’s better is that the main cable car is only 250 metres away so you’ll be out skiing in no time. There’s a bus stop close by if you don’t feel like walking.

We love the look of this hotel with its mixture of modern and traditional features. Rustic wood and stone is used throughout for a typical alpine feel. The food’s great with plenty of choices at the four-course dinners. Or, you can treat yourself to something from the a la carte menu.

If you’re looking to relax at the end of the day, the spa is definitely the place to go. Sit back and enjoy the heat of the sauna or just lay in the Turkish bath and let the time float by. Personally our favourite spot was sitting in the nicely decorated hotel bar and chatting about what we would get up to the following day. If the sun’s out, you can take your drink out to the terrace.
