WEsaySimple, light and spacious, the chalet Mathilde is exactly the sort of space we like. We think this chalet deserves it's four star plus status and it's in a great location if you're keen to get home easily at the end of the day.
Chalet Mathilde is one of three chalets in a small residence at the entrance to the Balcons area of Val Thorens. The building is shared exclusively with Chalets Chloe and Noella. The entrance is on the top floor and a shared staircase leads to the chalets, which are each individually run and hosted.
The chalet is decorated in a traditional Alpine fashion, with comfortable furnishings throughout the property including an open planned lounge and dining area.
After a day of exploring the Three Valleys head back to the chalet to enjoy a coffee and a tasty afternoon tea treat or head out onto the sun terrace with great views across the resort to catch a bit of winter sun.
After a day on the slopes, take advantage of the shared wellness area. Give your ski legs a break and relax in the shared sauna or steam-room, available for all guests within the residence.

Third Floor
Room 1 - Sleeps two people in a twin room, this room also has an en-suite with a shower and WC and a balcony.
Room 2 - Sleeps two people in a twin room, this room also has an en-suite with a bath and WC and a balcony.
Second Floor
Room 3 - Sleeps two people in a twin room, this room also has an en-suite with a shower and WC and a balcony.
Room 4 - Sleeps two people in a twin room, this room also has an en-suite with a bath and WC and a balcony.

NOTES
Children 11 years and under are welcome in the chalet on any date where one group books the entire chalet for their exclusive use. Otherwise, children are allowed on peak dates only. Please see our chalet page for more information. For Winter 2025/26 these dates are:
